- attended my brother Joe's wedding and got to meet the extended Cirignotta clan (many of whom flew over from Sicily for the event). Welcome to the family, Lena!
- sampled the best of South County cuisine (Crazy Burger, Kingston Pizza, steamers, fried clams, Del's Lemonade, and fresh produce from Mom & Dad's garden)
- played some backyard badminton, listened to the birds, watched the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds at my Mom's feeders, enjoyed the greenhouse, and lounged in the sun
- caught up with old friends and their growing families - so good to see you Jay, Heather, Liz, Sue and kiddos!
- took a day trip to Martha's Vineyard on the high-speed ferry out of Quonset: ate a picnic lunch on the docks at Menemsha, took in the views from the bluffs at Aquinnah (Gayhead), cruised Edgartown and got turned around on the tiny streets of the Oak Bluffs Camp Meeting Association cottages (Nate posted some of his MV photos to Facebook, FYI)

Owen - in all his 8 month cuteness glory - was loved by everyone in sight. He handled all the travel disruptions, new faces, cheek squeezes and passing around pretty well. The poor guy started teething his upper two incisors the second to last day of our trip, however, and since then, our "perfect" sleeper has had some pretty disrupted nights (and so have his mom and dad). We're hopeful those teeth make their entry quickly...
