Feeding, family, and fish

After months of first learning how to pick up food (but then seemingly forgetting that it was in his hand) and then picking it up and attempting to put it in his mouth (but missing entirely), Owen is finally starting to feed himself. The other day, he stuffed so many Rice Chex in that he couldn't even move his mouth to chew (don't worry, mommy extricated them).

Last weekend we went up for one last visit to the Soo before we move back to NC. One evening, for the first time since Owen was born, Nate and I had an outing of our own (with chaperoning and guide services care of Papa Dusty, and babysitting care of Grandma Pam), to fish for smallmouth bass and walleye. Mission successful! - and the walleye we ate for dinner the next night was superb.

Parting shot: Baby in a (laundry) basket - I recently discovered this simple way to keep Owen safely upright, entertained, and contained.
